As part of its social responsibility initiatives and efforts to strengthen the industry-academia link, MAPNA Oil and Gas Development Company organized a specialized workshop for reservoir engineering students at Sharif University of Technology.
The workshop featured an introduction to MAPNA Oil and Gas Development Company’s governance structure, processes, capabilities, and achievements as one of Iran’s leading exploration and production (E&P) companies. It also provided insights into the job market outlook for E&P companies and career development pathways for graduates in this field.
A highlight of the event was a technical presentation titled Realistic Modeling of Naturally Fractured Reservoirs Using the Discrete Fracture Network (DFN) Approach, delivered by Ms. Najmeh Jafarzadeh. The session aimed to deepen students' understanding of naturally fractured reservoir behavior and the practical applications of modeling in oilfield development.
🔹 An interactive Q&A session allowed students to engage directly with industry experts, ask their questions regarding technical topics and career paths, and benefit from real-world insights and experiences.
This workshop is part of MAPNA Oil and Gas Development Company’s ongoing commitment to building stronger ties with the academic community and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world industry needs.
